In Canada they call sliding downhill “tobogganing” which is a Mic Mac (Indigenous people of the East Coast, pronounced “mig maw”) word for the sled used to pull goods across the snow when trading with the French Canadians. Toboggans were used from the 1500s to the 1800s, when more roads were built, and now they’re mainly used for fun…and smashing phones! Poor Freddy. :(
